Something more important (4.12 / 8) (#8)
by Malicose on Wed Jan 17, 2001 at 04:59:47 PM EST

Perhaps the thoroughly revampled "Aqua Human Interface Guidelines" linked to within the article (which is very well done, as is the norm for Ars' John Siracusa) would be of higher importance to more people. These guidelines are extremely detailed and offer much insight into the navigation and structure of Mac OS X.

Poll (3.50 / 2) (#16)
by codemonkey_uk on Thu Jan 18, 2001 at 06:58:26 AM EST

While "Inoshiro" is normally a joke option, I think, in this case it can be argued (and my views are currently represented by the results of the poll) that Inoshiro, as a fully working, sentient biological lifeform, is "better" that either the software or the hardware produced by the Apple company.

I mean. Really. Could an MacOS X and a G4 combined maintian a popular website?

Run yes, maintain, no.

Better at What? (3.00 / 2) (#17)
by Anonymous 242 on Thu Jan 18, 2001 at 09:05:03 AM EST

On the other hand, can you imagine Inoshiro sitting at a keyboard typing in hex replies to http requests? I think the MacOS X G4 would be much better at serving up web pages, no?

Inoshiro doesn't fit (4.00 / 1) (#18)
by ambrosen on Thu Jan 18, 2001 at 12:00:11 PM EST

You really want people to be voting on Apple's new iNoshiro. You know, fitted with translucent plastic ribcage and CD/DVD slot right in the middle of the face.

Hope that no one's too offended by the idea of stuffing Inoshiro's gob full of CDs.
