Interesting observation. (5.00 / 3) (#9)

I went to the site, and I noticed that I had this nasty feeling that I should be turning back.

404 is so strongly associated in my mind with not found that it's a challenge to continue viewing the site. Neat.

farq will not be coming back
I always wanted (5.00 / 1) (#10)

to put up a 404 that said something like this:

Error 404: You fool! What have you done? You've killed us all!!

But alas, it might be hard to convince the AOLers to come back after that.

close... (none / 0) (#14)

the South Park comedy line of "You bastard!, you've killed Kenny!" would make a good 404 error message -- a dead Kenny would also not be very hard to draw.

Problem is, no one has room for humor in their lives any more -- especially intellectual property lawyers. Also, some fraction of the people who didn't watch the show would get all disgusted and bitch as well.
