People Suck. (Today: "The Elevator")

People suck. We all know that. And if you don't know that, well, I'm here to teach you. Today's example demonstrates that when it comes to elevators, boy howdy, do people ever suck.

So I left work today and ambled over to the garage where my car spends it's days. I was parked on the fifth floor, and ground level is 1. As I approached the elevator, there were two women already inside, and the door was closing. I was maybe four feet away, and they both looked directly at me. Neither moved a muscle to stop the door from closing.

So I just thought to myself "People suck," hit the UP button, and watched the lights. The two women went all the way to the second floor. A whopping eight feet of vertical travel, and they couldn't delay three seconds for another person. The garage doesn't have walls, and I could clearly hear them talking as they got out of the elevator just above me.

I wanted to yell "Hey, thanks for holding the damn elevator!" But I didn't, because what are you gonna do?

People just suck.

Damnit, don't take that shit from some haughty US bitches. I would've yelled, "was three seconds worth fucking me over?" or some such.

Talk about evil ...
