Very Scary Things

In the interests of having fresh content here, I'm circumventing the story-moderation process and posting these myself. Need readers to moderate stories, readers want stories to read (that's why they're here, right?), so I need stories more than anything else.

Anyway, I watched Repulsion last night, which is very scary and highly recommended, and here in the submissions box today are two more scary things, courtesy of Zer0. First, some screenshots of the innovative Windows 1.1. Take that, Steve Jobs! Second, for the first time anywhere, the DoS attacker is revealed! I suspected this guy from the start. says Zer0. We all did, buddy. We all did.

When you live on irc like me, little links like these pop up like crazy. It would be good to have some way to submit these links somewhere where people could vote on them, not as inividual storys but to be included in a story at the end of the week. Like slashdots "quickies".

Just an idea.

Great idea.

I liked the Windows 1.1 screenshots... very retro, and showing how Microsoft couldn't do anything right even back then! I have these really old magazines (1983- 1985) that covers all the 8-bit up to the early 32-bit computers, and there are a couple of screenshots on Windows 1.0 in that, running a CAD program. The other stuff is much mroe interesting though. Much better than the magazines of today.
