You Know...

You know a political campaign will be interesting when one candidate is the feared and hated wife of a well-known lecherous president, and the other candidate occasionally says things like:

"The song encourages young people to use drugs and masturbate"
--Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, referring to the Billy Joel song "Captain Jack"
Yes, that's an actual quote, as reported in The Washington Post today (scroll down to the bottom of that link). New York, whoever you choose, we wish you the best of luck. Looks like you'll need it.

I remember when a British politician claimed that the song "All she wants is another baby" encouraged pregnancies. Oops.

those of us unfortunate enough to live in new york are faced with a difficult choice indeed...the man who has homeless people arrested in an attempt to "clean up" the streets of NYC, or the woman who stood by and watched while her hubbie humped the lucky intern. i wanna move.
"How do men act on a sinking ship? Do they hold each other? Do they pass around the whiskey? Do they cry?"
